Well, it's finally done. A picture I promised for ~ReptileCynrik for his birthday which has quickly come and gone. Though, being close to the holidays I thought it more fitting to include a couple more of my closest friends. Starting on the far right to the left we have "Nidhogg" (c) *Ragnarokdragon , "Groul" (c) ~Malystrx, "Valeris" (c) ~ReptileCynrik and of course, yours truly, "Reo Barchetta" (c) =Angry-Raptor
Please keep in mind that this was just to play. I was inspired to do a cartoon version of these characters because I came across several pictures in Patrick’s gallery that were done in cartoon style. I didn’t see me or Nidhogg so I thought what the hell. I know there are a lot of mistakes done in here but if I don’t upload it now, it will never be uploaded.
What's going on in the picture?
I've always enjoyed seeing Valeris in Patricks' comics. She's an interesting character, I don't know that much about her past but I defiantly get the fact that she is a force not to be reckoned with. And, of course being a 19 year old reptilian "Reo" let his other senses effect his “better” judgement
.
Since I am posting this picture on the net I am keeping it with water mark and whatnot. I hate to ruin an upload like this but I’ve been seeing and hearing of good friends of mine getting their art ripped off. I do not want to be one of them so, even though I have a hell of a lot more learning to do with the color, form and value as well as a lot of other things. The creatures included in this picture will be emailed a jpeg file of this image without any watermark or other nonsense. Being 2008 (in a couple more days) I will bring out more work to show and stop being too self critical about the art I am working on.
I would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a happy, successful new year 2008!

First of all, you do not need to worry I would not LIKE that artwork! IT IS GORGEOUS AND I THINK IT IS THE BEST PIECE YOU HAVE EVER DONE!!!
Second: THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS so much for this! ^..^ That is one of the sweetest and best bday-gifts I have got.
Third: The picture itself... maybe, I write something now.
Hehehe... I like Valeris between all those red-handsome guys. I guess, she is in good company. ^..^ You have done a fantastic job on EACH character. Personally, I like GROUL the most... because you did an excellent HEAD FRONT SHOT (which is hard to draw)! His head is way more "serious", too. REO's and NIDDY's eyes are a little bit huge. But that is ok.
THE TECHNICAL ASPECT: just.... WOW! You did amazing shading, good anatomy, smooth colouring, NO hard lineart (and I guess, that is what makes THIS piece so great) and a nice setting. Composition and placement is perfect.
And like I said: the fact, that you did NOT just colour a lineart... was a great choice. I guess, it's perfect and... this might be the way, you shall go on.
I am proud, my "student" (if you allow me to call you that way here)!
This is by far the best you have ever done. And I WANT YOU to keep this.... means, I would like if you could go further into THIS direction of art and style. It suits you. It's looking great. And it fits!

I like the Anthro Chatacters, like the Dragons, Wolfs, Dinosaurs, etc. And the anime too. Like the serio of Tales and the Full Metal Alchemist serie. ^ ^
